Patented Technology
An independent, non-HPAL route to Class 1 nickel, protected by a granted US patent and two international (PCT) applications.
Green nickel for a sustainable future
info@baniql.comAbout BANIQL
The global battery supply chain depends on a single point of failure: roughly three-quarters of the world’s nickel refining sits in one country, and battery-grade (Class 1) nickel is projected to flip into structural deficit around 2028–2029 (IEA, Benchmark Minerals, S&P Global). BANIQL is building a category-defining critical-minerals platform to meet that demand cleanly — from EV batteries to the superalloys in spacecraft and the gas turbines powering AI data centers — turning nickel ore into MHP, nickel sulfate, and nickel metal without the high-temperature, high-pressure autoclaves of conventional HPAL.
We are TRL 6 today, with a pre-pilot operating in Indonesia since 2024, a product validated by potential customers across Asia and North America, and a signed, non-binding offtake LOI. Green nickel for a sustainable future.

Who we are
Our process uses roughly 70–80% less energy than HPAL and is around 30x more nickel-selective, operating at near-ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. By-products — agricultural fertilizer and magnesium products — are clean and recyclable.
A long-term ore-supply MOU in Indonesia anchors feedstock for scale-up, built on lasting relationships with established mining partners.
Why BANIQL
An independent, non-HPAL route to Class 1 nickel, protected by a granted US patent and two international (PCT) applications.
Over 1,000 kg of battery-grade MHP produced at our pre-pilot facility and evaluated by potential customers in Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and the US.
A long-term ore-supply MOU in Indonesia anchors feedstock for scale-up, from nickel ore through to nickel sulfate.
A pre-pilot facility operating in Indonesia since 2024, processing more than 100 kg/day of ore at near-ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure.
A signed, non-binding offtake LOI with a Korean customer — estimated at US$16.5–21M — validating demand for new, diversified sources of Class 1 nickel.
Our history
Five years from first principles to a validated, commercially de-risked product — every step proven, not promised.
